ABOUT ME

Hello!

I’m Tracy Whitmore

I am a qualified, experienced social worker, health, wellness & life coach and therapist. Supporting LGBTQA+ people and their families to reconnect, lights me up. It’s what get’s me out of bed in the morning. Having the privilege of witnessing amazing transformation and connections.

On a personal note, I enjoy spending time in Mother Nature, practicing yoga and embracing life’s adventures.

I offer all sessions internationally, via Zoom.

My career has been driven by my desire to walk alongside individuals, supporting them to reach their dreams, both personal and professional. And I have had the privilege of doing this with hundreds of people over many years.

What motivated me to create Indigo Journey was the transformation I witnessed in the people I was lucky enough to work with. I realised it was within my power to create something that would assist people to achieve that transformation much quicker and therefore with less suffering.

During the years, I’ve observed the extraordinary shift in young LGBTQA+ people, when their parents were able to better understand them and therefore more capable of supporting them and expressing their unconditional love. Alternatively, I witnessed the overwhelm, stress and fear dissipate from the faces and bodies of parents/carers who were struggling to understand and connect with their child. Including those who were unable to reconcile their feelings for their child with their personal beliefs and values. Often it didn’t take a lot of time before this shift began. This still warms my heart, EVERY time.

My dream is for the world to be a safe, supportive and enjoyable place, for LGBTQA+ people. I hope that one day they will all be able to live a life full of hope, joy and unconditional love and they will feel safe in their homes, neighbourhoods, schools and workplaces.

I know that it can be overwhelming for parents/carers, when their child comes out, and I also know that it is important to their child that they continue to love and support them unconditionally.

This is where the birth of The Reconnecting Families Program began. I’m confident that any parent who goes through this program will come out the other side absolutely bursting with love and celebration for their child. They will have the knowledge, strategies and insights to fully connect with their child on a deep level.

Having been in the unique and privileged position of being able to support young people and their parents to build or rebuild their connections with each other, I have an extraordinary insight into the needs of both sides.

I provide parents/carers with a safe space to talk, reflect and gain accurate information. I provide a kind, authentic, non-judgmental, listening ear, and an acknowledgment and understanding of the challenges and fears they may be experiencing. I am honoured to have been witness to amazing growth, understanding, and compassion, and to fabulous ‘Aha!’ moments, through this approach to developing and healing relationships.

As a health wellness & life coach for the LGBTQA+ community, I support you to overcome the barriers that have been created through a lifetime of existing in a world that doesn’t always feel safe, warm or inviting. Together we explore your personal dreams and create a plan to ditch the fear, break down those barriers and achieve the life you dream of.

I pride myself in having a holistic, person centred approach, meaning I understand that all aspects of our lives impact all aspects of our lives. To live the fulfilled life you’re looking for, we need to take a big picture approach and create a plan for holistic wellness – mind, body and spirit.

I am excited for your transformation. All you need to do is make a decision to take action. And I recommend the first action to be get yourself someone to walk this journey with you. To make you accountable. To challenge you when you need it. To support you and encourage you and to witness your amazing growth. That might be me, or it might be someone else. Regardless, take that first step, today!!! Keep reading to help you decide if it’s me.
